Product Usage Instructions

1. Preparation for Installation

1.    Inspect the packaging to ensure the product model matches your order.

2.    Prepare necessary tools: fiber optic cleaning pen, anhydrous ethanol, lint-free wipes.

3.    Ensure the installation environment meets the operating conditions: Temperature -20~70, Humidity 5%~95% (non-condensing).

2. Connection Procedure

1.    Clean the end face of the FC/APC connector using a fiber optic cleaning pen. Ensure no dust or stains are present.

2.    Connect one end of the attenuator to the output port of the light source/transmitter and the other end to the input port of the receiver.

3.    Gently tighten the connector to ensure a secure connection. Avoid over-tightening to prevent damage.

4.    Power on the optical devices. Observe the reading on the optical power meter and adjust the attenuation knob (if applicable) to set the desired value.

3. Precautions

1.    Avoid using the device in dusty, humid, or corrosive environments to prevent performance degradation.

2.    Handle with care during connection and disconnection to avoid damaging the connector end face.

3.    Clean the connector end face regularly; it is recommended after every 10 uses or if abnormal signal attenuation is observed.

4.    Do not use the product outside the rated operating temperature range to avoid damaging internal optical components.

5.    If a malfunction occurs, contact the manufacturer for repair. Do not disassemble the device yourself.
